Office help was lacking
So I'm a little confused. The online outage map shows Hernando County with a 0.02 percent outage from Hurricane Irma. It took eight days to get our power back.
The roads on either side of us were repaired after three days, and we were skipped over for an unknown reason. You get zero answers from the office if you inquire about a repair schedule.
God bless all those repairmen, supervisors, tree cutters, etc. My anxiety would have been greatly relieved if office personnel could be a little more helpful instead of telling me, "I see how many times you've called," which was "a few." Just sayin'.

Bring back impact fees
Hernando County commissioners want to raise property taxes. They refuse to reinstate impact fees.
As I understand it, the impact fees were dropped to encourage shopping malls and home building to increase. The shopping malls were to increase revenues.
As I understand it, impact fees are to cover the infrastructure and other services that the increased structures require.
According to Business Insider on March 5, "Dying shopping malls are wreaking havoc on suburban America."
What funds you are using for our infrastructure I don't know.
Kroger Co, KR, GalleryView/Free Charts/StockCharts.com shows the grocery store at a high of $41.65 now $21.13.
Bed Bath and Beyond Inc., BBBY, shows the stock at a high of $79 now $27.03.
I am presenting this information to give a basis of why I want you to discourage more shopping malls by reinstating impacts fees to the highest allowable.
Please reinstate impact fees.
