Platform shoes, mirrored balls and leisure suits will dress up this year’s Brandon Holiday Charity Ball.

With a disco theme that rivals John Travolta’s best moves, the annual dance party and benefit will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 14) at the Regent.

The Disco Ball is an opportunity for the Brandon community to celebrate the art of dance and get into the holiday spirit of giving. The award-winning dancers of The Way 2 Dance school will showcase their musical artistry, and there also will be open dancing for the guests.

The Sequel Band, Gina and Luigi and Big Beats entertainment will add to the night’s festive atmosphere while Inside the Box will cater a posh dinner.

Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift for the Toys For Tots program. All toys collected are taken to warehouses where Marine Corps reservists and volunteers sort the toys and bag them for distribution to local families. If you are unable to attend, bring toys to the Way 2 Dance at 610 Oakfield Drive or Savage Consulting, 136 N Moon Ave., in Brandon.

The holiday charity ball routinely delivers a truck full of gifts to the program.

Tickets are $75 and selling fast. Call either Tatyana Frost at (813) 966-4778 or Bob Savage at (813) 240-7772.
