The Tampa Bay area can expect one more sunny and warm afternoon before conditions begin to go downhill starting Thursday ó depending on your outlook.

Thatís when a cold front finally arrives, bringing off-and-on rain and temperatures that will drop into the 60s and finally force residents to break out their cool-weather gear.

Wednesday starts off with isolated fog in some spots, but that will dissipate quickly, leading to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s with minimal rain chances, 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Ashley Batey said.

Any rain likely would occur east of Interstate 75, Batey said.

Lows will fall into the mid-60s.

As the front approaches on Thursday, it will produce patchy light showers mainly north of I-4, Batey said. Highs will still be near 80, but with increasing cloudiness.

The full impact of the front will start to be felt Friday, Batey said. A pattern of on-again, off-again quick showers will take hold throughout the day, with chilly highs remaining in the 60s and lows plunging into the upper 40s.

Skies begin to clear on Saturday, but the crisp temperatures remain, with highs at or just above 60 into early next week, Batey said.
