A new, neighborhood bar and gathering spot recently opened in Carrollwood. Co-owner Jeff Barnes describes The Local Draught House as a bar with a brewery feel.

"Itís a place for people to get together and itís where the locals hang out celebrating local crafts, local beers, and local spirits," Barnes said.

The Local Draught House does not serve food, but offers a large variety of craft beers and a full bar. The tap list includes beer from local breweries such as Green Bench, Brew Bus, Coppertail, Hidden Springs, Angry Chair, Cigar City, and Tampa Bay Brewing.

"We wanted to bring attention to our local craft market as well as the local breweries," Barnes said.

When it came time to choose a location for The Local Draught House, Barnes said Carrollwood was a great spot.

"Carrollwood always supports their neighborhood," said Barnes. "Even though itís established, it continues to evolve."

The Local Draught House has a daily happy hour, televisions, and an outdoor patio that is pet friendly.

The Local Draught House is located at 3841 Northdale Blvd. next to Tazikiís. It is open 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday-Thursday, and noon to 3 a.m. Friday- Sunday. For more information, call (813) 265-0880, or visit facebook/thelocaldh.
