Topo Gigio the calico cat is the featured pet in the Dec. 17 editions of the Tampa Tribune.

Little Topo Gigio was named after the children’s puppet character, an Italian pop culture icon. This 9-week old kitten was rescued on a busy Valrico road when he was just a few days old, likely dropped by his struggling mama kitty attempting to move the litter. Topo is affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled. He’s a unique little sugar plum — a male Calico! Topo is a playful boy that proudly carries his tail high when he prances. He may never know the global fame of his namesake, but a safe and loving home will do just fine. Adopt Topo Gigio in time for the holidays fully neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and more from Find them on Facebook @StFrancisAnimalRescue.
