Zigazig yaaaaas. The Spice girls are reportedly giving fans what they really, really want: A reunion tour. According to TMZ, the girl group met up with ex-manager Simon Fuller to plan the rumored global tour. There is no plan for a Las Vegas residency or new music, as was reportedly earlier in the week, but we'll take what we can get. (But also, you guys should reconsider Las Vegas.) "We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations," the singers said in a statement.
A vocal advocate for the Time's Up movement, Reese Witherspoon opened up about a past abusive relationship, and the empowerment she felt leaving it. "I could never be the person I am today. I was a different person too. It changed who I was on a cellular level. The fact that I stood up for myself," she said. In the O Magazine interview with A Wrinkle in Time co-stars Mindy Kaling and Oprah Winfrey, Witherspoon went on to say it was this past relationship that put her on a new life path. "I'm a different person now and it's part of why I can stand up and say, 'yes, I'm ambitious' — because someone tried to take that from me before."
The rapper was feeling mighty generous this week. After donating $25,000 to a Miami high school and awarding a $50,000 scholarship to a University of Miami student, Drake reportedly dropped another $50,000 at a Sabor Tropical Supermarket to pay for everyone's groceries. Sure, the generosity might have been used as part of his music video for God's Plan, but a good deed is a good deed.
Former teen pop star Melissa Schuman, who accused Backstreet Boy singer Nick Carter of rape, has filed a police report. According to E!, the Santa Monica Police Department authorities confirmed that an investigation has begun. Schuman alleged Carter sexually assaulted her in 2003 when she was 18, writing on her blog that he was "relentless, refusing to take my no's for an answer." Carter responded to the allegations in November, saying he was "shocked and saddened," and believed their relationship to be consensual. In December, Schuman wrote another blog post, opening up about being called a liar. "Know that your story matters. You matter. You deserve to be heard and seen and validated. And don't be shaken when they scream, 'Liar! Liar! Liar!'" Carter has not released another statement.
The disgraced YouTube vlogger, who garnered universal outrage after posting footage of a suicide victim in Japan, made his highly-contested return to the Internet after taking a month to "reflect." In his first vlog since the disaster (he did post an apology video), the 22-year-old is back to his old ways. "What you mean disgraced, boy I took a break, besides I'm still lit as f—-. What other YouTuber you know can take a three-week break and still gain a million subscribers?" he asked, making fun of the controversy. And if that didn't tick people off enough, Paul also posted a video of him repeatedly firing a taser at a dead rat. PETA is calling for YouTube to take down the video. "This sort of content has no place on YouTube or anywhere else, as it could desensitize young people to cruelty to animals," PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange told TMZ. "Yo, Logan Paul: death isn't funny. Exploiting dead bodies for views is disturbing," a PETA twitter account wrote. Remember when Paul said he was going to "be better?" This isn't it.
