Gasparilla Festival of the Arts hands out prizes for 2018

TAMPA Ovation, a ceramic work by Beth Garcia won the Raymond James Best of Show cash prize of $15,000 at the two-day Gasparilla Festival of the Arts held March 3 and 4 at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

The 2018 Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts awards totalled $76,500. Best of Show finalist Beth Garcia took home $15,000. The Board of Directors Award of $7,500 went to Matthew Cornell of Orlando. The Roddy Brownlee Reed Award of $4,000 went to Steve Edgar of Tallahassee.

Nearly 40 other cash awards were presented at the premier outdoor art festival held Saturday and Sunday at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
