Westfield Brandon will host its free Beauty and Balance program from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday (March 10) at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Court, 459 Brandon Town Center Drive in Brandon.
The Brandon event will be the only one out of three scheduled area events to include a live panel discussion from 1-2 p.m. called "Work/Life Balance: Putting Yourself First."
The moderator-led discussion will include talks with three top local businesswomen: Carley Ochs, founder of Bourbon and Boweties; Kate White, marketing and communications manager for the Glazer Children’s Museum; and Leigh Tucker, founder of Kiwicha Bars.
The panel discussion will open up a dialogue with a group of successful women about leadership, empowerment, business development, motivation and work/life balance.
Live Zumba classes from the YMCA beginning at 12:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. will serve as a way for women to connect with each other and their own bodies in a fun, judgment-free environment.
Attendees can also get mini makeovers by Sephora, skincare and foundation tips from bareMinerals, LUSH and other retailers throughout the event.
Alex Metallo, who runs the blog "Alex the Real Housemom," will take over Westfield Brandon’s Instagram during the event.
"The Westfield Beauty and Balance program offers a vehicle to bring our communities together to educate women on leadership and self-care," said Westfield’s marketing director, Dawn Arvidson. "The program will focus around three main pillars: body, brain and beauty. We partnered with groups and organizations within the community to provide women with all the tools they need to succeed in all areas of their lives."
