Florida’s Legislature spent hours debating school safety and gun control in the past week. If any issue captured attention more than others, it was the idea that schools might have employees carry concealed weapons as a line of defense for a future shooter. The Legislature also completed its efforts to expand school choice with its K-12 policy omnibus, HB 7055. Reporters Jeff Solochek and Emily Mahoney examine highlights of the activity.
