Alex Cox is stuck in the ... '70s???
Former Stuck in the '80s co-host and Seattle correspondent Cathy Wos had a brush with greatness this week: director Alex Cox! Here's her report:
"I just got back from a visit to our awesome local video store, Scarecrow Video, where there was a signing with the director Alex Cox! For those who don't know him, he directed Repo Man and one of my all-time favorite movies, Sid and Nancy. He was in town signing his new autobiography X Films: True Confessions of a Radical Filmmaker. Later in the evening he was screening his new film Searchers 2.0. (Click here to read more about it.)"
"Meeting Mr. Cox was quite a thrill for me. To top it off, he was super-nice, signed my DVD and let me take this pic. The picture might be a little blurry because my hands were shaking. I know, I'm a dork."
"I told Alex that he would be on the Stuck in the '80s site and he was very enthusiastic. However, he made it known that he will be forever Stuck in the '70s. As he pointed out, the '80s was the end of punk!"
