Saturday earworm: Am I a Smiths poser?
I don't pretend to be an expert on The Smiths and Morrissey. In fact, it's well established that I wish I'd appreciated them back in the '80s, but I was being too much of a post-punk snob and listening to the Dead Milkmen, Hoodoo Gurus and the like.
With that said, lemme ask you this: Does liking their song Sheila Takes A Bow best make me the ultimate Smiths poser? I just gotta know. Give it to me honestly.
But here's the good news: Former Stuck in the '80s co-host Cathy Wos is RETURNING to visit Tampa Bay next week and will stop by the studio to record a special Smiths podcast! And she'll have a special Smiths playlist just for the show. In the meantime, feel free to suggest other Smiths and Morrissey songs for me to listen to in preparation for the podcast.
Go on Sheila. Take another bow.
