Tampa's Super Bowl is NOT stuck in the '80s
Is this the man who wrecked the buffet at Media Day? I bet he's the pride of the Stuck in the '80s nation.
Yeah, your Stuck in the '80s krewe was on location today at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium for Super
Bowl Whatever Its Number Is. The look of disgust on my face reflects several things: 1) It's like 80 degrees here in Tampa, and I was sweating worse than Lawrence Monoson in Last American Virgin; 2) The NFL Network mafia had just kicked me out of my comfy seat again, and; 3) There were no '80s celebs to suck up to!
No celebs period, in fact. Unless you count Deion Sanders, Keith Olbermann (who has a similar physique to yours truly -- no more late-night keggers for you either, Keith!) and comedian-actor Jerry O'Connell (yeah, the great "Frank Cushman").
But Sean Daly and I did our duty to king and country and tried to handle the entertainment aspects of the event, which mainly consisted of The Tonight's Show "Ross the Intern" trying to show his Care Bear tattoo to football players.
Add in a couple of transvestite journalists in bright red dresses, grown men drooling over TV Azteca's hot "correspondent" and the green-dressed wonder of Maria Menounos, and that's Super Bowl Media Day in a nutshell.
