'80s fashion refuses to die ...
... Though god knows some have tried their best to kill it. But Fashion Week in NYC just can't get enough of our crazy looks of the past. The '80s seem to be a prevalent theme in this week's series of runway shows.
Oh, the Aqua-Netted hair, oversized T-shirts, blue eyeshadow and leggings might look SOOO hot to us, but the fashion-nazis at our sister blog -- Deal Divas -- are having a cow. (And by "sister," I simply mean they're way too young and cool to acknowledge their geeky but much-wiser big brother.)
"In the name of all that is good and wearable, ladies, I beg of you: Stand up and unite against this horrid '80s trend. Have we learned nothing from fashion's ugliest decade?" Diva Colleen screams in her review of the runway fun.
Ugliest decade?!? Erroneous, my little backpack-toting, capri-lovin' lasses! I'm fighting the good fight over there in the comments section, but I won't mind your help too, dearest SIT80s fans!
