Want free tickets to Awesome '80s Prom?
The Awesome '80s Prom, an interactive theatrical re-creation of the best (or sometimes worst) day of our teenaged lives, is coming to Tampa Bay next week. The production, which has been a hit off-Broadway in New York for years, plays Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall Feb. 26 through March 1.
And I have FIVE FREE PAIRS of tickets to give away for the Friday, Feb. 27, performance -- a.k.a. the official Stuck in the '80s night at the Awesome '80s Prom. I'll be there in attendance with Vegas Girlfriend. The prom starts at 8 p.m. and features your favorite '80s hits, and there's even a cash bar! (Alcohol would have made our real proms sooo much better.)
Just e-mail me at stuckinthe80s@tampabay.com if you want a pair. (Otherwise, tickets are $35 apiece -- still cheaper than tickets were for my actual prom back in 1985). You should be either in the Tampa Bay area or able to drive here on Friday night obviously. Winners will be notified via e-mail.
Go to the Awesome '80s Prom official website for more details on the production ... OR ... tune in Saturday for our special Awesome '80s Prom podcast featuring an interview with writer/creator Ken Davenport!
