Devo plans SXSW appearance, new album
Hey, Devo fans, here is some more news u want. The band will release a new studio album this fall -- their first since 1990's Smooth Noodle Maps. No title yet, but the band's PR machine says Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerry Casale and company are in the studio, putting the finishing touches on it right now.
Devo also is invading the South By Southwest music fest later this month in Austin, Texas. A press conference and keynote panel will lead into a one-night-only concert at the Austin Music Hall on March 20. Before SXSW, fans in Dallas can catch them March 18 at the Palladium Ballroom. Tickets are available online.
