Stuck in the '80s heading to Chicago for Regeneration Tour 2009

The Regeneration Tour -- ABC, Heaven 17, Wang Chung, Cutting Crew and Berlin -- plays Chicago's Rosemont Theatre on June 26 and Stuck in the '80s will be there.
We waffled back and forth before deciding what city to aim for this year. Last year's fiesta in Las Vegas was legendary, but we felt we wanted to spread the fun up to the Midwest. Plus, in the rich history of all John Hughes' Chicago-based flicks, I want to eat pancreas at Chez Quis, sing the blues with Lisa, Wyatt and Gary, buy a Steve Lawrence album at Trax Record Store and then party-hardy with the Dongster at Jake Ryan's house. Let's just pray the trip doesn't end with the consumption of any greasy pork sandwiches served in the obligatory ashtrays.
Tickets for the actual Regeneration concert are $40, $50 and $70 and can be bought online. Unlike the Vegas trip, we're not expecting to find a party headquarters hotel. Let's face it, Chi-town hotels are much pricier than Vegas hotels, so we figure anyone going needs to decide where to stay based on their own budgets. So far, only myself, Vegas Girlfriend and our Detroit buddy Cylon are on board for the trip. If you're interested, e-mail us at stuckinthe80s@tampabay.com.
