'Wall Street' sequel reunites Michael Douglas, Oliver Stone

Wall Street sequel
"Greed is good." Hollywood knows that, hence we now have Wall Street 2 in the works. Today's big news: Both Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone have signed up for the sequel.

As the plot: "It starts up a couple years ago. Gordon Gekko has just got out of jail and we kind of deal with all the issues that are going on now," the Celebrity News Service quotes Douglas telling Ellen DeGeneres during an interview on her show. "It's an excellent script. I'm really excited about it."

Shia LaBeouf, who ought to know to stay away from sequels to classic '80s movies, reportedly is on board to play the part of Gekko's new protege. Any chance for a cameo from Charlie Sheen? (Reports say ''nope!'') or Daryl Hannah? It's too early to say. More rumors: Part of the movie will be set in London, Asia and the Middle East.

Stone's return to the director's chair for the sequel seems surprising; he's never directed a follow-up to any of his movies. Then again, Stone hasn't had a major hit in a while, and this seems like a no-brainer moneymaker.

One more scoop: Word has it that the working title of the sequel is no longer Money Never Sleeps. It's back to the predictable Wall Street 2 for now.

TOP 5 UNDERRATED GORDON GEKKO LINES FROM WALL STREET:

5. "Lunch is for wimps."

4. "A fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place."

3. "What's worth doing is worth doing for money."

2. "It's not always the most popular person who gets the job done."

1. "It's all about bucks, kid. The rest is conversation."
