"I'll sleep with you for a meatball" ... and 99 other great movie quotes
Forget the lame movie quote lists compiled by AFI. The website Pajiba (Motto: "Scathing Reviews for Bitchy People") has debuted its "Other 100 Best Movie Quotes."
Like any great list, it's full of good, wholesome '80s-ness. (It's also full of R-rated profanity, so if that offends you, you might not want to click on that link.)
Here are five great under-rated quotes from the '80s that Pajiba.com included:
100. “I love my dead gay son." (Heathers)
77. “I’ll sleep with you for a meatball.” (Victor/Victoria)
57. “You idiots! These are not them! You’ve captured their stunt doubles!” (Spaceballs)
45. “I don’t understand. All my life I’ve been waiting for someone and when I find her, she’s … she’s a fish.” (Splash)
3. “I want my two dollars!” (Better Off Dead)
I'm a little surprised to see no quotes from Repo Man on the list, but I applaud their top '80s quote choice. Better Off Dead probably ranks at the top of the list of under-rated '80s flicks. By the way, the actor who played "Johnny the newspaper boy" is Demian Slade. His other big '80s appearance: playing the son of Frankie Avalon in Back to the Beach.
