No more Barbie Girl! Aqua is 'Back to the '80s'
Remember Danish popsters Aqua and their 1997 hit Barbie Girl? (Okay, okay. Stop screaming. I'm not gonna play it. But don't blame me if you stupidly clicked that link.)
It seems Aqua has put out this new song -- Back to the '80s -- and it's good enough (or at least nostalgic enough) for us to CONSIDER acquitting them of their previous crimes. Oh sure, it seems like a ripoff of Bowling for Soup's 1985, but it's still fun. (My favorite non-80s song about the '80s will probably always be Relient K's Pink Tux To The Prom.)
Aqua just released a greatest hits album, which includes this single along with a few other new songs. Buy it at your own risk.
