Kajagoogoo, Banarama, Kim Wilde on list for Regeneration Tour 2010
The saddest moment of any '80s fan's summer? The end of the Regeneration Tour. This year's show featured ABC, Berlin, Wang Chung and Cutting Crew and wrapped up last week in Atlanta. Reviews were glowing, and now suddenly we're all left wanting more.
Good news: We may not have to wait until next summer for it. Regeneration Tour promoter Rick Shoor plans to put together a fall/winter tour for smaller venues. Some of the bands Shoor's working to book: China Crisis, Modern English and Boys Don't Cry.
That sounds like a perfect holiday present for any '80s fan. But if you have your heart set on next summer, here's some of the bands Shoor is working on:
BANANARAMA: Great pick. The lovely ladies from the UK have a new single due out in September. Check out a sample of Loves Comes right here.
KAJAGOOGOO: With Limahl back in the lineup, this is a can't miss band.
KIM WILDE: Very underrated. Sure we all love Kids in America. But she's got so much more.
HOLLY JOHNSON: The lead singer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood!?! Seriously, where can I buy tickets today?
There are other bands on the radar too, so stay tuned ... because 2010 is definitely bringing the return of the STUCK IN THE '80s LAS VEGAS CONVENTION AND FIESTA! Alert the regional Jagermeister and Pepto Bismol distributors.
