U2 builds a new wall before playing big Berlin Wall show

U2 is in Berlin, Germany, today to play a show in front of the historic Brandenburg Gate. The performance marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Here's a short video showing the scene today. Check U2Log.com for more updates.

But the big stink today is from fans who are outraged to find that a 12-foot metal barrier has been built around the concert site to block the view for those with no tickets.

"Both Berliners and tourists alike saw the irony in building a wall around a concert dedicated to the wall that has already come down," the AP reports.

Personally, I'm outraged that the Scorpions aren't on hand for Winds of Change! .... Still lovin' the Philharmonic version.)
