Bad omen? 'Wall Street 2' release bumped until fall

Wall street Money may never sleep, but Oliver Stone's sequel to Wall Street is being put into forced hibernation from the studios.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps was originally set for an April 23 release. But Fox has bumped it to Sept. 24, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Changes in release dates are not unusual at all. John Cusack's new film, Hot Tub Time Machine, has seen its release date moved -- but only by a few weeks. A dramatic delay for the Wall Street sequel sounds like trouble.

Oscar-winner Michael Douglas returns to reprise his role as Gordon Gekko, as he is released from prison after 20 years. Shia LeBeouf co-stars as the new hot-shot broker and love interest to Gekko's estranged daughter. Never mind that fans of the original 1987 movie never knew Gekko even had a daughter (he had a son, Rudy).
