Phil Collins zings Peter Gabriel at Rock Hall of Fame induction

Genesis
Come on, Genesis. Can't we all get along? During Monday night's induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Genesis singer/drummer Phil Collins couldn't resist taking a shot at the absent former member Peter Gabriel.

"We've played without him for 30 years," Collins said backstage. "We're used to not having him around."

Gabriel had previously said he'd have to miss the induction because he was preparing for a world tour. According to Mike Rutherford, he sent his apologies. But that didn't seem to stop Collins from frowning the entire ceremony, reports the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, ABBA -- the only other act with '80s roots -- was also missing some key members. Benny Andersson and ex-wife Anni-Frid Lyngstad attended the ceremony at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel. But Agnetha Faltskog, who suffers from a fear of flying, and Bjorn Ulvaeus, who had a family commitment, did not make it.

By the way, if you're wondering what will happen sooner -- a Genesis reunion or an ABBA reunion -- here's one clue. Lyngstad told the audience on Monday that ABBA would never perform again, the AP says.
