Twins sequel could co-star Eddie Murphy

There are movies from the '80s that cry out for sequels. Classics like The Breakfast Club, Purple Rain and Ferris Bueller. And then there's Twins. The 1988 movie starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito as a pair of unlikely twin brothers – test-tube babies – who are separated at birth.

Now says that 30 years later, a sequel – dubbed Triplets – is on the way and it could co-star … Eddie Murphy? "Thank you for the cookies. I look forward to tossing them."

Schwarzenegger himself confirmed the news at a recent SXSW panel, where he announced that the script is completed and that Murphy is "attached."

"Funny thing that happens in the mixing of the sperm," the actor and former California governor explained.

Den of Geek reports that Murphy would play the pair's third brother, though he hasn't yet signed along the dotted line.

Don't hold your breath on this project. Schwarzenegger still needs to film Terminator 6 and King Conan before this, it's believed.
