Coming soon for Star Wars stories: Boba Fett

With all the spotlights focused on Solo: A Star Wars Story and the talk of movies for Lando and Obi-Wan, here's some real news: Everyone's most-hated bounty hunter Boba Fett is getting his on Star Wars movie.

Movieweb.com has confirmed that James Mangold (Logan) will both direct and co-write Boba Fett. (The other writer is Simon Kinberg, who exec-produced Star Wars: Rebels.)

Little is known about the character Boba Fett – aside from his brief appearances in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Of course, his father Jango Fett did get a little fleshed out – no pun intended – in Attack of the Clones when Obi-Wan discovers all the Republic's soldiers are being harvested using Fett's DNA. (Alas, Boba himself is a clone as well, and let's just say his kick-start into a life as a sleazy bounter hunter PROBABLY started about the time he saw his dad get decapitated by another Jedi.)

So which character will see a movie made about himself or herself next? Stay tuned. We're just getting started on this train of franchise flicks.
