The sequel that nobody wanted – another installment of the Indiana Jones saga – finally has a release date … in 2021. Movieweb.com reports that Indiana Jones 5 will reach theaters on July 9, 2021.
To put things in perspective, that's two decades after the setting of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Maybe the film will stage its premiere at the Sea of Tranquility IMAX 20 cineplex.
The new release date is two years beyond the initial goal of 2019. It seems the additional time is needed for a script rewrite. That seems reasonable, given that screenwriters must figure out a way to make Harrison Ford seem adventuresome as he'll be pushing 79 years old at the time.
Currently there are no story lines or proposed named for the fifth installment of the movie saga, thought might I propose this? "Indiana Jones and the Sorrow of Hollywood."
