Here's a surprise from Hollywood: The creator of the TV show Designing Women has been searching for a home for a revival of the late '80s series.

The Hollywood Reporter says Linda Bloodworth-Thomason has been working for months on a revival. The original series ran on CBS from 1986 to 1993 and centered on the lives of four professional women working for an interior design firm in Atlanta. It originally starred Dixie Carter, Delta Burke, Annie Potts and Jean Smart. Meshach Taylor also had a well-loved recurring role.

THR says the idea of a Designing Women reboot is particularly appealing these days because it speaks to the politically divided nature of the country. The original show regularly addressed issues such the AIDS epidemic, racism and women's rights.
