AC/DC announces 2016 North American tour dates

I don’t know if there’s necessarily a “bad” time to see AC/DC on tour. Maybe if you were just diagnosed with tinnitus. Definitely not a good idea. But catching the hard-rocking lads from down under in 2016 will definitely be an interesting time to see them perform.

For starters, as most of us know by now, drummer Phil Rudd won’t be joining the band on the road. He’s in home detention after dealing with a slew of legal issues. And, of course, rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young is staying home after being diagnosed with dementia. (Nephew Stevie Young will take over for him, as he did back in 1988 when Malcolm was fighting an addition to alcohol.)

Still, I’m not sure there’s a hard rock act out there that still delivers the same punch that they did 30 years ago. I caught them in 1982 in Lakeland, Fla., on the “For Those About To Rock” tour. Pretty unbelievable. And I think my hearing has about 93 percent returned to normal in the passing years.

Here was the setlist that night back on Jan. 29, 1982:
Hells Bells
Shot Down in Flames
Sin City
Shoot to Thrill
Back in Black
Bad Boy Boogie
Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution
The Jack
Highway to Hell
Let's Get It Up
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Whole Lotta Rosie
Let There Be Rock

You Shook Me All Night Long
For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)

Sounds pretty good, eh? Then pick one of the dates below and just remember to bring earplugs.
