Another 'Chucky' movie starts filming this month
Wait … another Child's Play movie? Even Jon Gruden has moved on. But it’s true: Cult of Chucky begins filming Jan. 9 in Winnipeg, Canada, according to Entertainment Weekly.
For those counting, Cult of Chucky will be the seventh installment in the franchise, dating back to 1988’s Child Play. (That means Gruden, whose game-day expressions provided him the Chucky nickname, was only 25 when the first slasher film hit theaters.)
Pop quiz: Who can name all the Chucky movies? That’d be: Child’s Play (1988), Child’s Play 2 (1990), Child’s Play 3 (1991), Bride of Chucky (1998), Seed of Chucky (2004) and Curse of Chucky (2013).
EW says Brad Dourif (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Mississippi Burning, Deadwood) will be back to voice the murderous little doll.
