Axl Rose blows off Jimmy Kimmel but love for Coachella, Taco Bell still intact
So … about that Guns N’ Roses reunion tour. Yeah. Let’s just say if you’re budgeting money for those $250 seats, you might be “in luck” so to speak. Why? It seems Axl Rose’s Tuesday night appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show has been canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances,” a source told the L.A. Times.
To those longtime fans of the GNR frontman, it reeks of “Axl being Axl,” and that doesn’t bode well for plans for a reunion tour this year. The singer has a long history of showing up hours late for gigs (and sometimes not showing up at all).
Axl was scheduled to appear on Kimmel’s show to announce that the original lineup of Guns N’ Roses would play the Coachella festival this spring. Earlier this morning, however, the singer tweeted this on his official Twitter page: “Ok, ok … It’s ‘confirmed.’ Guns N’ Roses is Headlining Coachella 2016!! See Everyone There!”
That’s a real change of heart from Axl’s post on Jan. 1, when he tweeted: The only thing I ‘confirmed’ is my LOVE of Taco Bell! Mmmmm… Taco Bell!”
That could explain the need to cancel Tuesday’s show. Those Gordita Melts have a mind of their own.
To its credit, Taco Bell returned the love with their own Tweet to Axl: "You're not the only one!"
