Beetlejuice sequel now has holy trinity: Keaton, Burton and Ryder
Winona Ryder is the final piece of the Hollywood puzzle that is Beetlejuice 2, with Michael Keaton already saying he's on board and director Tim Burton in talks to return.
"I'm kind of sworn to secrecy," Ryder told the Daily Beast this week. "But it sounds like it might be happening."
Ryder says she wanted jump on board as soon as she that the sequel will be set decades after the original 1988 film.
"It's not a remake," Ryder said. "It's 27 years later. And I have to say, I love Lydia [Deetz, Ryder's teenage goth character] so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later."
Running a pilates studio for the undead in New England, perhaps? If Alec Baldwin joins the cast, THEN I'm intrigued.
