Can you name the first single by the Eurythmics? You're probably wrong

If you thought like me that Sweet Dreams was the first single by The Eurythmics you would be wrong. The correct answer in the Eurythmics trivia game is Never Gonna Cry Again.

After the pop band The Tourists broke up in 1980, Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox paired off to make an experimental album Into The Garden that was released in 1981. The first single Never Gonna Cry Again was a minor hit clocking it at No. 63 on the UK singles chart.

The video features Lennox all dolled up in a red dress before she started sporting her famous orange crew cut and androgynous look. Lennox, a classically trained flutist, performs the solo on the single.

The Eurythmics would go on to score ten Top 40 hits in US in the ‘80s and earlier this week on Jan. 27, the Eurythmics performed at The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles that will air Sunday night, Feb. 9 on CBS.
