Casey Kasem could be on his last countdown
Eighties broadcasting icon Casey Kasem is most likely on his deathbed now that courts have allowed his daughter to withhold food and medication from the 82-year-old icon.
A Los Angeles judge on Wednesday reversed an earlier court order that required Kasem to be fed. Kasem's wife and his kids have been feuding over the care of the radio broadcaster, who has been suffering from a form of Parkinson's Disease.
"You have blood on your hands," said his wife Jean Kasem, the same woman who earlier threw raw hamburger at rescuers who took her husband to the hospital.
The judge said he came to his decision after hearing from the hospital that Kasem was not responding to artificial nurishment and that they might be leading to painful consequences.
