Choked Star Wars actor dies: His lack of faith was disturbing

Star Wars actor Richard LeParmentier has died at age 66. You might be confused because most Star Wars fans thought he died in 1977 after Darth Vader choked him using The Force in a famous scene.

Well, that's what happens when you mock Vader's "sorceror's ways" and "sad devotion to that ancient Jedi religion." In case you're grasping for his character's name, it was Admiral Motti.

The cause of his death is still unclear, TMZ reports.

LeParmentier appeared in more than 50 movies and TV shows and if '80s fans think he looks familiar, well, they're right. He also appeared in Superman II (he was married to the actress who played Ursa in that flick), Reds, Octopussy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
