30 years later, Anvil finally getting the fame it deserves

While the rest of the civilized world was home Sunday night, numbing our brain cells with the 52nd annual Grammy Awards, Stuck in the '80s Denver bureau chief Chase Squires was catching Canada's finally-legendary Anvil live in concert. [Click here to see a full list of tour dates.] Here's his quick take on the show.

So longtime, long suffering Canadian metal rockers Anvil were in town. After seeing a documentary about them, it was hard not to root for them.

These guys have been pursuing the dream since the 1970s. How incredible is it that they're still together and touring?

Believe it or not, after more than 30 years, it was their first visit to Denver. The crowd did not disappoint, and Anvil delivered. Really great show. And really, really, really loud.

Lead singer " Lips" told the crowd to stick around, he would personally meet every single person. I had to catch the bus home. School night and all. But what a great dude.

If you haven't seen the movie ... here's the trailer. Classic. The great rock movie of the decade.
