In the '80s, Kirstie Alley loved both John Travolta, Patrick Swayze
There was once a magical decade when Kirstie Alley was hot stuff. I mean really hot. She scored some cool roles -- Cheers, even Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan -- and dated the biggest celebs out there.
Yep, our beloved '80s. And yet, it still feels almost shocking to read the news that Alley is telling everyone know that she was once in love with is-he-gay-or-not John Travola.
"I know John with all my heart and soul. He’s not gay," Alley told Barbara Walters in an ABC News interview clip released Wednesday. The actors co-starred in 1989's Look Who's Talking. At the time, Alley was still married to Parker Stevenson; Travolta would marry Kelly Preston in 1991.
Alley says she also had a thing for (and possibly a thing with?) the late Patrick Swayze. The two starred in the 1985 mini-series North and South.
"We did fall in love with each other," Alley said, even though Swayzye was married at the time as well. "I probably was more willing to break up my marriage, and I wasn’t willing to break up his marriage."
