Adam Ant planning U.S. tour for early 2012

adamanet.jpgAdam Ant is coming back to the U.S. for his first tour since the 1990s, reports Pollstar. According to the concert news website, Adam Ant (aka Stuart Leslie Goddard) has just signed with a U.S. agent and will arrive here in early 2012 to support his new album, Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar In Marrying The Gunner’s Daughter (set for a January release).

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Adam to Libertalia’s roster,” said the singer’s brand new American agent James Harding in a statement provided to Pollstar. “Adam’s material dating from the very beginning of his career, has been a staple part of my personal music collection and I hold him in very high regard. To say his contribution to the industry has been significant would be an understatement.”

One odd thing: Harding said this wouldn't be a "revival tour." Does that mean no greatest hits in the set list?

Adam Ant (sorry, I just can't get used to calling him "Ant" on second reference) has spent the fall touring the U.K. so he should be in good shape for 2012. Click here to see existing tour dates on his official site. (Sorry, no U.S. dates listed just yet.)
