Alan Parsons Project tours with Asia
This just in: The Alan Parsons Project will open for Asia at Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall on June 14. A laser-light show also is planned for the Brit band, whose big tunes include "Eye in the Sky" and "Don't Answer Me."
Word from Asia insiders is that the reunited band will play their self-titled debut album in its entirety. (Makes sense -- most of their greatest hits are there.)
Tickets go on sale May 11. And, oh yes, Stuck in the 80s will be there.
More for Asia fans: A live DVD and CD of Asia playing in Tokyo is in the works. The performances were shot in April; the CD should be available in June with the DVD for sale in September. In addition to the concert, the DVD will include interviews with original members John Wetton, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe and Carl Palmer.
