All Kansas wanted was more credit for '80s hits like this one

It has always been a pet peeve of mine that radio stations always concentrate on one or two songs by an artist and completely ignore their other hits. For the next few days, we try to rectify the problem by remembering some of the “other” hits by some great established American bands.

About the only two Kansas songs you hear on the radio these days are Dust in the Wind and Carry On My Wayward Son, so when was the last time you heard 1986’s All I Wanted?

The beautiful All I Wanted hit No. 19 on the charts and the video showcases vocalist Steve Walsh and their new guitarist Steve Morse, who joined Kansas after the breakup of Southern rock favorite The Dregs. Kansas will be at Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall on January 19th and team up with the local symphony (just like Dennis DeYoung) to create an extraordinary concert experience.
