Another summer of super tours

Defleppard1 Dust off your concert jerseys and start setting aside some extra dough: Def Leppard and Styx are teaming up for a summer concert tour. Foreigner will join the two groups for a number of dates as well.

Last summer, it was Def Leppard and Journey making the rounds, while Styx and REO Speedwagon joined forces.

Foreigner had been scheduled to make a number of appearances this summer with Asia, which has reunited its four original members for an extended tour. But those dual-gigs have been canceled, and the bands are going their separate ways. No comment yet from the Asia folks on what happened there.

There might be more 80s bands touring this summer than at any time during the actual 80s itself. It'd be easier to name some of our favorite bands that are NOT touring this summer: Billy Idol, Duran Duran, The Cure, The Go-Go's and, of course, Van Halen.
