Awww, it's only a Grammy

David Bowie will collect a Grammy for lifetime achievement on Feb. 7 for his "vast, profound, and long-lasting impact on an amazingly wide variety of music genres." His only previous Grammy win was back in 1984 for a music video. (Crossing my fingers hoping that was for "Blue Jean.")

Anyone remember the classic episode of the Simpsons where Homer's band -- The B Sharps -- win a Grammy? They beat out Dexy's Midnight Runners ("Well," Homer tells Lisa, "We haven't heard the last from them yet!") Bonus points if anyone can name the song the B Sharps won the award for and the category of the award.

If you want a laugh today, look up the 1984 Grammy's on the Web and check out some of the other winners. Prince (for writing "Feel for You" and for his band's performance in "Purple Rain"), Weird Al Yankovic ("Eat It"), Billy Ocean ("Caribbean Queen"), Phil Collins ("Against All Odds"), Pointer Sisters ("Jump for My Love") and Cyndi Lauper for best new artist! You can't buy this kind of entertainment.
