Bill Murray is sick of 'Ghostbusters 3' talk: "It's just a myth"
It wasn't that long ago that Ghostbusters 3 was a fact. Now it's lucky to be science fiction. Bill Murray has gone on the record saying he's sick of hearing about it.
"“It’s just a myth. It’s like the white alligator in the sewer, you know? Who’s seen it, really?” Murray told the Cinema Blend blog. “It’s just really the movie studio. They love the franchise, they’d just like to re-create it again. All this talk is just talk. Until someone actually creates a great script it’s just hogwash, it doesn’t mean anything."
Apparently, one of his old co-stars is tired of Murray spooking the project.
Dan Aykroyd reportedly called Murray and asked him to "stop acting like a jerk" when asked about the possible sequel, according to the Bloody Disgusting horror movie blog. The report also gives away that Murray's character would die in the opening scene of the third movie and be a ghost for the rest of the flick.
Right now, though, it looks like Murray is only interested in playing "The Invisible Man."
