Billy Joel cancels autobiography (don't ask me why)
He didn't start the fire. But Billy Joel knows how to put it out. The Piano Man himself has officially canceled the release of his autobiography, to be titled The Book of Joel.
If you're guessing there was some cosmic rationale in the reversal, you'd be right. In a statement to the Associated Press, Joel says "it took writing the book for him to realize he's not interested in talking about the past." (I guess it's still just rock n' roll to him.)
The book was set to contain details on on his failed marriage to Christie Brinkley, as well as his battles with substance abuse.
