The comic genius of Blake Edwards has left us. The man behind the Pink Panther movies, 10 and so many more classics, has passed away at age 88.

Edwards died Wednesday night in Santa Monica, Calf. due to complications of pneumonia, according to Entertainment Tonight. His health had been declining and recent months.

It's been reported that wife Julie Andrews and their children were by his side.

It's hard to pick his top 5 movies of the '80s, since so much of his best work came before the decade began. But we'll always have 1982's Victor/Victoria to cherish.
