Bon Jovi is dead? That's news to him
Jon Bon Jovi is not dead, no matter what press releases and Twitter fans are saying. (Though after reading all the negative reviews of his latest movie New Year's Eve, his acting career is probably livin' on a prayer.)
"Rockstar Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr) was pronounced dead today after paramedics found him in a coma at his Empress Hotel, city and law enforcement of Asbury Park, NJ sources told The Times after World Christmas Tour concert on The Bamboozle Festival, North Beach Asbury Park," a false press release proclaimed. "New Jersey Fire Department-First Aid Captain Douglas Gray told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from the home. When they arrived, Bon Jovi was not breathing."
The press release made its rounds on Twitter Monday, scaring the entire state of New Jersey and some of the shadier boroughs of New York City. But Bon Jovi posted the above photo on his Facebook page to prove it's all false. "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey," the sign reads, along with listing Monday's date and time.
His official website has no comment on the death claim -- or his possibly libelous comment about heaven.
