Bon Jovi: "Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business"

Curiosity killed the cat. Video killed the radio star. And now Apple founder Steve Jobs (and his iTune/iPod empire) has killed the music business. At least to hear Jon Bon Jovi tell it.

Media outlets are releasing quotes from Bon Jovi from an interview the Jersey hair hero gave to the U.K.'s Sunday Times Magazine, including:

  • "Kids today have missed the whole experience of putting the headphones on, turning it up to ten, holding the jacket, closing their eyes and getting lost in an album." (Agreed!)
  • "God, it was a magical, magical time." (Very much agreed!)
  • "I hate to sound like an old man now, but I am, and you mark my words, in a generation from now people are going to say: 'What happened?' Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business." (Maybe. But I don't foresee you returning your iTunes royalty checks anytime soon, Jon.)
