Charlie Sheen is up next for Comedy Central Roast
We've been roasting Charlie Sheen for a couple years now at Stuck in the '80s, but it's about to become official: Sheen has released a statement saying he'll be the next "roastee" at Comedy Central Roast in September.
"You could say I've been providing kindling for this Roast for a while ... It's time to light it up," Sheen said in his statement. "It's going to be epic."
What's really epic is the timing. According to TMZ, the Roast will air Sept. 19, the same night the Sheen-less Two and a Half Men is set to debut. And if you think this is all just Charlie tooting his own horn, TMZ says a rep for Comedy Central has confirmed the news.
"Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast… which scares even us," the rep said.
If you haven't seen a Comedy Central Roast, you're missing out on some great comedy. (The roast of David Hasselhoff is my all-time fave.) Expect a bunch of the usual players -- Andy Dick, Gilbert Gottfried, Jeffrey Ross and Lisa Lampanelli -- to be there. But what we're hoping for here at Stuck in the '80s is a few '80s-centric roasters as well. I'm thinking Emilio Estevez, Oliver Stone, Michael Douglas and, of course, Jon Cryer.
