Don't Cry ... Asia's coming to Florida

Asia For some 80s fans, it is the culmination of their very being: The four original members of Asia are touring the United States this summer. The band has just announced a new slate of dates, including a stop in Clearwater, Fla., on June 14 at Ruth Eckerd Hall. (Tickets go on sale May 11 -- the Alan Parsons Project, with laser-light show, is the opening act.)

For a complete list of dates, see the band's website. And click here for more on the wisdom of Asia.

Asia received glowing reviews from critics and fans over the last year, their first tour with the original members in 25 years. In addition to playing their classics (Heat of the Moment, Don't Cry, Only Time Will Tell), each member is playing songs from their early solo career. including Roundabout, Fanfare for the Common Man and even Video Killed the Radio Star.

[Asia fans: I'm going to think up something pretty amazing for our blog and podcast in advance of their show here in Tampa Bay. In the meantime, you can always make do with our special podcast about the band from last year, just prior to their announcement of a reunion.]
