Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes 'hit a wall' says John Taylor; band may be forced to curtail tours

Nick Rhodes' mysterious illness forced a premature end to Duran Duran's tour, but we've heard little about what he's actually suffering from. Bandmate John Taylor cleared it up -- a little -- in an interview with the Huffington Post.

"Nick is a workaholic, one of the most driven men I know, and he just hit the wall," Taylor told the HuffPost UK. "He was having fainting spells, it was very frightening, but he saw a doctor, and was made to rest."

That's not surprising; Duran Duran's tour in support of All You Need Is Now was going on two years and had criss-crossed the globe a couple times. It was sidetracked a few times at the start with Simon Le Bon's voice troubles, and now has ended with Rhodes' exhaustion. So what will the band take away from this experience?

For starters, fans can probably expect shorter tours.

"More performances in fewer places - you can see why Elton and Rod love their stints in Las Vegas," Taylor said. "But at the moment we still love touring, so we'll record the next album and then see where we are, and in the meantime look after each other."
