Got a 'Crush' on hits from 1986? It'll be gone after this podcast

Jets Let's face is: 1986 was a forgettable year in pop music. The chart was overrun with bubblegum pop and Reagan-esque anthems about drugs and safe sex.

Band like The Jets -- the '80s version of the Osmonds meet the Gosselins -- cranked out tunes that we've largely forgotten. And for good reason. They felt shabby and disposable. But now, 24 years later, they seem ... okay, they're guilty pleasures at best.

So it's with a certain amount of melancholy that we give you this week's Stuck in the '80s podcast: The Horrible Hits of 1986.

We promise you'll scream and pound your head against the frozen tundra of whatever icestorm-stricken state you live in. But somewhere along the way, you'll find peace of mind with that year in pop music. (But better have an ambulance standing by. Just in case.)
